Moab, Utah. Much thanks to everyone who has made a tax-deductible donation to the American Diabetes Association through my coast to coast walk! We have almost reached our $20,000 goal and are just $2,000 away.

For those that want to donate or to the multitude that have promised to give but haven't yet, today should be that day. Click HERE to donate as little as a $10. It's great that I'm walking across the nation, but the donations have to come in to help this organization and make an impact.

I saw you in the town of Mexican Hat, UT. I was surprised to see some one dressed for hiking in that baron landscape, but you looked friendly so I said I hi and found out about your trek across the country. While driving away I thought could I, a juvenile diabetic for 47 years, still do a trip like that? You had already proven that you could just let the job wait, so now I wonder. The reality is leaving the job scares me more than managing my diabetes on a trip like yours. Anyway, I looked you up on the web and then found out you had selected diabetes as your cause. Of course you got my support.

Greetings Rob! Mexican Hat was a very tough stretch and thank you for looking me up! Asking my job for the time off was probably the hardest part, but with anything the worst that could said was no, but I probably would have gone anyway. Thank you for taking an interest in my journey and I hope you continue to properly manage your diabetes!
