You're in Colorado now, congrats for making the long trek across Nebraska. For people traveling I-80 the Nebraska stretch seems the longest. Now you're have a couple of days in the dry prairies and then the Rockies will begin to appear on your western horizon. It's impressive, if you get clear days, how awesome they appear. Your route is around the southern end of the Sierra, so only the Sierra further north would provide the sense of huge climbs ahead than you'll actually get with the Rockies.

I'm amazed at your perseverance, esp. with as bad weather as you've had. You're a remarkably robust individual, in both body and spirit to make such a crossing. So now you're more than halfway to your goal I have no doubt you'll make it.

It seems at least some of your route has been on/near US 30. You probably did enough research to know this is the old Lincoln Highway, but also it was the first transcontinental route to link west coast and east coast with roads. There is a fascinating show, Ken Burn's "Horatio's Drive" (http://www.pbs.org/kenburns/films/horatio.html) about the first person to drive across the U.S. following a route close to US 30 today. Dr. Horatio Nelson Jackson, who'd never even driven car, on a bet, set out across the U.S. in a car (a Winton) that was smaller than a queen size bed. Gradually his exploit became known and by the time he reached Omaha much of the U.S. knew about him and came out to cheer him on. He was, briefly, almost as famous as Lindbergh.

I hope you'll have a crowd of supporters when you reach your finish line. I'm certainly enjoying your progress.
