Omaha, Nebraska. These "Good Luck" eggs were made for me by friends of The Bowsmans who I had the great pleasure of meeting and staying with.

The eggs must of worked because I was fortunate enough to meet and conduct an interview with the lovely Leah Uko today who is a TV reporter for the local FOX affiliate.

My segment will air sometime tonight on the 9:00 PM (CST) news (which is on now as I'm writing this) here in the Omaha area.   I will post a link as soon as it is available.

We met at Starbucks Sunday and I wanted to pass on a small bit of route information that might change your route into Lincoln.

There is an old railroad that has now been converted to hiking/biking trail, good surface for walking.

You can pick it up in the town of Elmwood (or Eagle). Assuming you stopped at Springfield as you mentioned and probably walk from there to Louisville, Elmwood is southwest of Louisville, about 13.5 miles.

This is a more pleasant route into eastern Lincoln than any of the highways.

Hi! I met you on the trail tonight, well actually I ran around you, twice. :) I was intrigued because my husband reversed his type 2 diabetes, and google led me here. (You said have a nice run, I said have a nice... walk. ;) Anyway - welcome to Lincoln! I should have offered you supper, but my kids had corn dogs and that's about as fancy as we get. I'll be following along now!

Hi Alison, I do remember you lapping me. Thanks for the words of encouragement that day!

I'm glad to hear about your husband's reversal of diabetes and I'm actually interested in hearing how he did it. Possibly we could meet up, I'll be in Lincoln for at least one more day, so please let me know either way.

Once again it was a pleasure briefly meeting you!

All the Best,
